The Zubels Caterpiller is nothing, but impressive! Impressive? Yes! Well firstly it is 100% hand knit. If I had to compare the quality of Zubels workmanship, I would say it is the "Lands End" of knitted baby items. What is Lands End, it is a retail store that use to belong to Sears known for its high quality clothing, that is known to be bright, well made, and customizable.
Now back to this Little Caterpiller. First thing to note is that he rattles! As per the text in the Zubugs Organics catalog, " 7"toys are rattles". The rattle is located in the 3rd torso (red).
Material is Organic Cotton- extremely soft, and the colors are extremely bright and fun. The knitting itself gives the toy a classic look, and the brightness brings out the modern-ness of it. The colors of the Caterpiller are Yellow, Blue, Red, Green, White, with a little black for the eyes.
As my wife and I prepare for our baby to come, we look for the best of the best for our unborn child. This is one of the best toys that we have come across, key features of course were the, hand made (unique- no two will be completely the same), organic cotton, soft, bright clean look, and the little rattle itself makes it functional to keep the babies attention .
I highly suggest looking into both the Zubels "Zubugs Collection", as will as their hand made hats and clothing. This would be perfect for your babies, and as presents for your friends and family. I attached pictures of some of the Spring Summer characters to the right.
