Out of everything Silicone made for the kitchen, I think my favorite has to be silicone mats! When you purchase from Moditional Kitchen you get 1 baking mat that is approx. 11 3/4 x 16 1/2 which fits any Large USA Half Sheet Pan.
I have used it to make Bacon Wrapped Jalepeno Poppers, and the non-stick aspect makes cleanup a breeze. Since experimenting with baking, I am testing to see what baking option is best to make Jalepeno poppers. I set the stove to 400F and left them in for 45 minutes, until I saw the Cheese starting to burn and actually turn black on the edges to make sue the bacon was cooked through. For a less greaser option, I use turkey bacon. Turkey bacon crisps up really well with the mat. The burnt cheese does not stick to the mat.. if the cheese that melts makes it to the metal sheet pan, you will learn the benefit to it non-sticking because it is a pain in the butt to cleanup burnt cheese on metal.
The cleanup itself- I use an ordinary napkins to wipe away the grease on the top of the mat, and then use some Dawn and warm water, and set to dry.
Overall this is a kitchen must have!
