I really like this selfie stick over many of the others on the market. I have tried about 14 different ones.
The best part is that it is "Battery FREE". IT is not a bluetooth stick, so there is no need to worry about charging it. This one uses a line in cable that runs into the audio jack.
Quick note- you will need to go into your camera settings and change the function of the volume buttons to shutter. How? click/ open the camera app, click settings, scroll till you see volume buttons, click, choose the option for shutter.
I have the Samsung Galaxy S2 and my original camera app does not have this option, and for me to install that option I need to bypass the system with some modified software.. Save yourself the trouble if you are in my situation- Download "ProCapture" they have both a paid and free version and it works great with this selfie stick.
another nice feature is the grip on the handle- it doesn't slide which is great!!!
To extend the stick - its a simple twist of the wrist- each level slides smoothly, and can lock it place.
Overall this is one of the better selfie sticks that I have tried and reviewed
