Ice spheres are very much in style! The idea behind them is that they should cool your drink down quickly with out watering it down as much as regular ice shapes You should technically be able to get several drinks out of less ice.
At first I was leaning towards liking the larger spheres, but then I broke for glasses with them, so these have become my size of choice. These reduce the chance of breaking glass and allow me to chill out while chilling my drinks. There is nothing worse than getting ready to relax and enjoy a nice cold drink, when all of a sudden, the ice you were going to enjoy breaks your glass, and now you have to clean broken glass, and the ice that you spent hours on is garbage!!!
