http://www.amazon.com/dp/b00qu8v7jo/

Heat Resistant 662F & Lifetime Guarantee
The Outside is Made of Extremely Heat Resistant Aramid Fibers - Nomex. Better Heat Protection Than Kevlar. The Same Material Used in Fire Fighters' Vests. 100% Premium Quality Cotton Interior. No Polyester mix. Just Soft, Comfortable, Soothing FeelAnd Keep Your Hands Sweat Free.

I have tried lots of silicone gloves, and yes for the most part they all work, but they have some disadvantages to them.   Firstly, if you hold on to the hot item for too long, the heat transfers into the glove. Essentially the outside will remain cool, but the heat transfer will cook your hand.  Secondly they are clunky and it is kinda hard to handle things.  Yes, they work to open stove and more a pot, but longer than 3 seconds close to, or in boiling water and say bye bye to your hand.   I have also tried the silicone glove with the inner mit, which is great and takes the concept to the next level of protection, but again be-cautious of heat transfer.

These Nomex oven gloves, I believe takes it up a notch with protection upto 662F.  They are made of the same material that fire fighters use, extra fleixble, breath really well, and have 100% cotton on the inside!!! The Grippers on the outside bring it all together. I truely believe this would be the direction that you would want to go if you were in the market for the best gloves to protect your hands!!
