Soft yet firm!!  I like that this is not an inflatable.  It is more of a memory foam and works to fit your body--well head and shoulders. I would say if I did not have a pillow, I would not mind using this bath pillow outside of the bathtub-- that is how comfortable it is!! Odor Resistant and easy to clean.  It features 7 large suction cups
